Openfile

Licence

Three licences cover every template here. This page says what each one allows in plain words. The binding terms are linked under each licence, and they win if the two ever differ.

Free

Free licence

Your own sites and client work

You can

  • Use it for your own sites, including commercial ones.
  • Use it for client work, as part of a site you build for them.
  • Change anything in it.

You cannot

  • Sell, share or give away the template itself.
  • Post it on another marketplace or template site.
  • Use it to make templates or components that compete with it.
  • Present it as your own original work.

One website

You can

  • Build one website with it, for yourself or for one client.
  • Change it as much as that website needs.
  • Use that website commercially.

You cannot

  • Use it for a second website. That needs another Standard licence or the Pro licence.
  • Sell, share or redistribute the template, or include it in anything you sell.
  • Use it to make templates or components that compete with it.

Unlimited websites

You can

  • Publish as many websites with it as you need, for yourself or for clients.
  • Remix it once and reuse it on every project, with no per-site fee.
  • Change anything in it.

You cannot

  • Sell or redistribute the template itself.
  • Include it in another template or theme you sell.
  • Include it in any other product you sell.

Not sure which one you need

If you are building one site, Standard or a free template covers it. If you build sites for clients and want to reuse a paid template, Pro covers every one of them. For anything else, email support@openfile.pro. Replies come within 48 hours on weekdays.

Refunds

Templates are digital and delivered the moment you pay, so sales are final, unless the law where you live says otherwise. Polar, who take the payment as merchant of record, handle any refund request.
